ACT Training with Bargaining for the Common Good (re Crownsville)

Tuesday, February 24, 2026 7:00 PM -  8:30 PM

Zoom

This training will be an introduction to the Bargaining for the Common Good framework that encourages faith congregations, community groups, and labor unions to look for their common interests and targets and see if there is something bigger they can accomplish together.

The event will focus on one case study in Connecticut where a strong coalition of lasting relationships was formed to win groundbreaking new investments in the crisis mental health system.

The event is both for ACT leaders and anyone from the Maryland Just Power Alliance who would like to learn about working with unions. (For ACT it will be part 2 in a series of events exploring Crownsville's history and the possibility of doing a bargaining for the common good style campaign with labor unions around the redevelopment of Crownsville to create good jobs and community benefits.)
